Le Grand Mesnil
The house sits alongside a quiet country road on the route from St Bomer to the picturesque village of Lonlay L'Abbaye. We are open all year including Christmas and New Year. There is a no smoking policy in the house and we do not allow pets.
The house is set within 1.5 acres of garden, woodland and field for the enjoyment of visitors . We are surrounded by peace and quiet, grass and cows, without being isolated. An ideal base for those wanting to experience the quieter side of Normandy.
The Domfrontais, or area around Domfront is famous for its apple and pear orchards which produce Cider, Calvados, Pommeau and Perry. Domfront itself is an attractive fortified medieval town with castle, commanding far reaching views over the flatter land to the south. The Church spire can be seen in the distance from our dining room window, so too the Mairie or town hall when lit up at night.
The immediate area is ideal for walking and Cycling as the small lanes are beautiful yet quiet .
